Did Coke Daniels Steal Jordan Peele's Plot Idea From 'Get Out'?
Karen revolves around the tale of a racist white woman who makes it her venture to wreak havoc on her black neighbors that just moved into the neighborhood.
Get Out used to be a few young black guy visiting his white girlfriend's family for the weekend. His female friend's circle of relatives came off commonplace until aggravating discoveries begin to spread and he figures out the actual extent of the family's obsession with terrorizing black folks.
Social media did its factor and the general public was once quick to disgrace director, Coke Daniels, for his lame attempt to recreate Peele's hit. The movie took reasonably a beating on Twitter, with endless feedback of grievance.
"Jordan Peele only has two films under his belt as a director and he already has people trying to copy his formula," wrote @nuffsaidny. "Talk about impact."
Peele's film completed standard approval and gained an Oscar in 2017 for Best Original Screenplay.
Individuals thought the trailer of Karen, used to be a comic story and even went so far as believing it could be a Saturday Night Live skit.
"I just finally saw the trailer for that KAREN 'horror' movie. I can't stop laughing," wrote @Goddess_Maxwell. "Its unbelievably cringe! Its like someone took every woke stereotype and fear-mongering about race relations and put it into a blender without nuance or subtlety."
In the trailer, Taryn Manning plays Karen who scolds her new neighbors to keep their rubbish pails off the curb, or else. She comes off as very aggressive, she threatens her peers at a cafe or even calls the police on blameless teens.
Not only does the public consider this film is a dud, however they're questioning Hollywood's talent as a complete in liberating decent films.
On Twitter, @HoodCommieGirl posted, "Everyone in Hollywood wants to make their own version of "Get Out" but "with out integrity, vital thinking, a legitimate social/racial research, and so forth. Just surface-level 'racism is unsuitable', 'Karens are unhealthy', 'we'd like extra allyship', and so forth plots."

Meanwhile, Coke Daniels, is over the moon that his upcoming film is even in this same sentence as Jordan Peele's award-winning film. Daniels made an Instagram story of a screenshot from Twitter with the caption: “Trending on Twitter!! Keep comparing Karen to Get Out! We’ll receive that!”
I guess according to Daniels, there is no such thing as bad press!
