Taylor Swift Quietly Deleted 'Lavender Haze' From Her Instagram, But Why?

Taylor Swift never does the rest with out there being an intention behind it. This has long been observed in the relatable lyrics she writes, deleting all of her posts from Instagram without caution, and even hanging Easter eggs in her music videos. As such, when the Blank Space singer decided to take away her Lavender Haze reel from Instagram, Swifties instantly knew it was once not a simple deletion. The silence from Swift that used to be left within the aftermath of the removal spoke volumes.

Several weeks prior to the reel was once deleted, it was confirmed after some hypothesis that Swift and her boyfriend of six years, Joe Alwyn had broken up. But as a result of all resources claimed that the "split was amicable," "it was not dramatic," and that "the relationship had run its course," Swift fans, while stunned and left wondering what went wrong, had now not anticipated any form of unfavorable comments from the Shake It Off singer.

And they didn't get any. Instead, they got a deleted reel that spoke in particular in regards to the dating between Swift and Alwyn. A transfer that alerted followers that there could also be extra behind the story that is being printed.

When Swift's most successful album to date, Midnights was released, Swift did an interview to explain probably the most songs on the album. One of them used to be Lavender Haze.

Swift broke down the track announcing that it was once about the dating she and Alwyn shared, and it specifically spoke to how they navigated the media and rumor mills to protect what they had.

"My relationship for six years, we’ve had to dodge weird rumors, tabloid stuff, and we just ignore it,” Swift explained. "So this song is in regards to the act of ignoring that stuff to protect the actual stuff."

However, Swift fans point to Lavender Haze being the song that pointed to a shift in the relationship and that perhaps, Swift and Alwyn no longer wanted the same things out of their relationship.

"I in finding this fascinating because she did make it transparent that she wanted marriage and youngsters on Lover and Folklore," one Reddit user said. "But on Midnights she changed her mind. Lavender Haze showed that she sought after to stick committed but wasn’t all in favour of marriage (which I don’t judge her for)."

A second user stated, "When Midnights dropped, NGL I assumed it was once a break-up album. There are so many lyrics that made me facet eye their courting."

Per usual, the speculation is rampant with anything Swift. But, fans seem to agree that when Midnights was released, there was a different feel to the album than the previous two.

When writing the songs, maybe even Swift herself did not see from her lyrics that what she wanted for her future had changed over the past several years.

When Swift writes songs about exes and exposed the unforgettable stories she has lived through because of them, she does not name names. Instead, she lets fans and the media alike speculate about who the song may be about. And because the Lover singer has said nothing about why she deleted her Lavender Haze reel, that is exactly what has happened since removing the post.

"She deleted a reel a couple of courting she is not in - it's most probably one of the handiest movies on her social media where she in fact refers to their dating," one Reddit user explained.

"I wouldn't necessarily need that on my socials either. And she did not do it with any fanfare or proper after a pap walk or anything else - she actually just deleted the video from her social media."

This seemed to be the consensus of many users.

It is clear to see that while the majority of fans believe that Swift simply removed the post because she is dealing with heartbreak and perhaps does not want a reminder of the relationship that was on her socials, there are others who will continue to look for a deeper meaning.

But what is clear is that many believe that Lavender Haze may have been one of the first signs that the close relationship the two had was starting to crumble. And perhaps, the deletion of the reel should not have been as surprising as it was to fans.

Given that there does not appear to be a messy breakup between Swift and Alwyn, fans are having a hard time coming to the conclusion of why the couple truly broke up and who was the one who instigated the break. But again, they are using Lavender Haze lyrics as a roadmap to help sort out just what went wrong.
