Furlan recognizes that most people associate Lee with Anderson and likely always will. But, the stand-up comedian also wants to acknowledge that Locklear is the woman that Lee is talking about in the Motley Crüe autobiography, TheDirt, calling her "the only who got away."
"She was the affection of his life," Furlan explained. "I see it, because she's just a amusing, sweet, being concerned, superior individual. Tommy even says he messed up in that dating. He cheated on her. To these days, that's why they're nonetheless in reality just right buddies."
Furlan even claimed that she gets on Lee's case occasionally for cheating on the Melrose Place alum, given the rapport the two still share.

As a result of allegations Anderson made in a letter she penned after Lee and their son, Brandon got into a physical altercation that strained their relationship, stating Furlan "helps to keep [Lee] drunk - this is what he needs - anyone to act badly with," there is no love lost between the women, though publicly Anderson has claimed otherwise.
However, the relationship between Furlan and Locklear could not be any different. And Furlan is grateful to have the Spin City alum in her life.
"Heather and I are very shut. She's awesome, I like her," Furlan explained to People. "I believe she's essentially the most type, down-to-earth person. We met via Tommy, clearly, and was shut. She's simply very cool, really nice, just supportive and only a cool chick throughout."
The difference in the relationship between Furlan and Anderson and Furlan and Locklear could not be any different. And while Furlan would like to have things be copacetic between herself and all of Lee's exes, that is just not something that appears to be in the cards. As such, she is appreciative of the friendship she and Locklear share.
"There's so much that is going on that I don’t percentage publicly that stored that from happening, [but] she's very, very nice, so I've managed to have a courting along with her and I am so thankful for that," Furlan stated.

Given that Lee has admitted that Locklear is the one who got away, Furlan could have easily cut the Dynasty alum out of her life out of insecurity. But instead, Furlan has embraced Locklear and could not be happier to have done so, ex of Lee's or not.
