Why Do Women Keep Agreeing To Have Kids With Nick Cannon?

Nick Cannon has one of the biggest families in Hollywood, with 11 children – most of whom were born within the last several years. The television hosts shares 11-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, with his ex-wife Mariah Carey.

He has a 5-year-old son, Golden, a 20-month old daughter, Powerful, and 2-month son Rise Messiah, with model Brittany Bell.

Nick is also a dad to 1-year-old twins, Zion and Zillion, with Abby De La Rosa, who also gave birth to their third child, daughter Beautiful Zeppelin, a month ago. Also, this year, Nick welcomed a daughter, Onyx, with LaNisha Cole, as well as a son with model Brie Tiesi.

He also shared an infant son, Zen, with Alyssa Scott, who died of a brain tumor in December 2021. Nick and Alyssa announced they were expecting a second child in November 2022.

Many people have wondered why so many women agreed to have children with Nick in such a short time span (or if it was planned). Here’s what we know.

Nick Cannon Doesn’t Believe In Monogamy

Since Nick has been having more children in such close succession in recent years, there’s only a few explanation – he’s constantly cheating on his partners, or he hasn’t been in exclusive relationships.

Some of his children’s mothers have given birth within weeks of each other, suggesting Nick was romancing them at the same time. Still, none of the mothers have accused Nick of cheating on them.

Nick has implied that he hasn’t been practicing monogamy. This means his children’s mothers likely knew he was seeing other when at the same time he was dating them.

"That's a Eurocentric concept when you think about the ideas of you're supposed to have this one person for the rest of your life,” he said of monogamy.

‘”And really that's just to classify property, when you think about it. When you go into that mindset, if we're really talking that talk, the idea that a man should have one woman — we shouldn't have anything. I have no ownership over this person."

Nick continued, "It's about what exchange can we create together. I've never really subscribed to that mentality. I understand the institution of marriage if we go back to what that was about. ... I don't have ownership of any of the mothers. We create families in the sense of we created a beautiful entity."

The comedian also seemed to imply that the pregnancies were planned, and that the women knew he was expanding his family with others while dating them, too.

"Those women and all women are the ones that open themselves up to say, 'I would like to allow this man in my world and I will birth this child.' So it ain't my decision, I'm just following suit," Nick went on.

"They know how I feel. I'm not going around like, 'Who am I gonna impregnate next?' ... The woman is always the one who leads and makes the decision."

"I don't have no accident," he stated. "Trust me, there's a lot of people that I could've gotten pregnant that I didn't. ... The ones that got pregnant are the ones that were supposed to get pregnant."

Most Of His Kids’ Mothers Are On Good Term

Many are quick to assume that the relationship between Nick and his children’s mothers is messy, and furthermore, that the women may not be on good terms with other another.

However, sources say that things are smooth sailing for the mother part in the blended family, though they don’t spend a lot of time together.

" The mothers of Nick Cannon's children are cordial and respectful to each other for the most part," a source told Entertainment Tonight . “They mostly stick to their own families and what concerns them directly.”

“The mothers have great relationships with Nick and he does his best to balance everything, carve out time for everyone, and make sure each mom and their kid(s) feel special, important and loved,” the insider continued.

LaNisha Cole Called Nick Cannon Out For Being “Fake”

However, Nick may be facing more complications now that his family is bigger than ever (and reportedly still growing). He recently faced criticism from one of his children’s mother, who threw shade at him on social media for his “fake photo ops” featuring his kids.

When asked why the 3-month-old daughter she shares with Nick hasn’t been featured on his social media account, LaNisha seemed to imply he wasn’t as active in her life as he should be.

“There’s no need to mention me or send anything to my dms. It has nothing to do with me… and no need to be messy. It’s all love over this way 🙏🏾 Happy holidays to you and your family!” she wrote on her Instagram story.

“It’s not easy but I have to do it for my daughter. She is incredibly blessed and is surrounded by so much love – and it’s not fake IG photo op love – it’s real day in and day out love,” the model added.

Nick himself has admitted he has guilt for not being able to spend as much quality time with his children, adding he feels spread thin.

However, the television personality hasn’t denied that there could be more children in his future, so he may spread himself even thinner is the past few years are any indication.
