She Doesn’t Have the Star Power
Her fame from 24 brought her stock up greatly, so much so she was being offered starring roles in movies to see if she could actually be the next breakout star. Her first big movie was The Girl Next Door.
Despite the hype behind the film, nothing really happened, considering the movie only made just over $14 million at the box office and got a lot of bad reviews from critics.
A lot had to do with the fact that Cuthbert decided not to show off as much of her body as fans would have liked, as she thought it was too early in her career to do that. The actress wanted to handle the nudity aspect modestly, which viewers believed to have hindered her performance.
"It was a large [dialogue]. I mean, the studio used to be like, 'We're gonna have an 'R' rating and our lead girl's not gonna wish to cross there?' So I had to have a lot of conversations and a lot of discussions about why, my reasoning for it, and thank god they believed me and had been ok with it,” mentioned Cuthbert.
"I didn't feel the pressure of having to do it for the public, [but] personally for myself, I had a place where I felt like I had to stop, which was full nudity. I push it to a certain point, obviously, in the opening, but Luke and I kind of talked about it, and I had a strong opinion that we could make a teen comedy and not have to do full nudity."

A Possible Comeback
Well, regardless of the actress falling off the face of the Hollywood world, it seems that as if Elisha might be making a comeback!
The actress has scored a selection of roles since her good fortune on Netflix, including her most up-to-date time on the CTV series, Jann, the place she played the function of Liz.
